A Day of Mindfulness is an opportunity to connect and celebrate with others on the path of well-being and to experience the profound collective energy generated from our mindfulness-based practices.
This event is co-hosted by the Kingston Sangha and Queen's University Faith and Spiritual Life.
Mindfulness practices include: mindful movements, sitting and walking meditation, deep relaxation, dharma sharing as well as eating our lunch in mindfulness.
This event is free. Donations are welcome.
All are welcome, including beginners.Please wear loose comfortable clothing. For example, track pants and t-shirt. Avoid jeans and dresses as we’ll be moving around.
To help each other deepen the mindfulness practice, please turn off your mobile phones. If you are expecting an urgent call kindly put your phone on silent and answer your call discreetly.
In considerations of others with allergies please come along scent-free: i.e. no perfume, cologne, fragrances, or scented products.
You are encouraged to speak with and make friendships with other people in the group. It is very helpful to have friends who are also practicing this path.
What to Bring:
1) A water bottle.
2) A yoga mat and sitting cushion/bench (chairs will be available).
3) Something warm to cover yourself during deep relaxation.
4) A light vegetarian lunch that does not require heating up or preparation i.e. sandwich/salad.
5) Your lovely smile and openness.
Location:
Queen's University. We will send out the exact building and room number a few days before the event. Please enjoy your non-waiting practice.
Limited Space:
Due to a high volume of interest and limited space, this event will be sold out quickly. In the event that you are not able to attend after you've registered on Eventbrite, kindly "cancel" your registration so we can free up your space for the wait list. Thank you.
